The unspecific Mouse Thread - Page 58

Well technically, the Abyssus 1800 is the "old" one. I had one for a short time. It uses the 3G sensor as opposed to the 3.5G found in the other one. Tracking is good, max speed is lower than the other Abby models tho. Don't do anything involving firmware or you'll be in brick city btw lol.

What do you mean? The first thing I did was download synapse to try lower DPI which wasn't even possible. Did I **** up?

nah I meant DLing the firmware from the catacombs of Razer's site. Otherwise you're good. But yeah, there's really no good reason to use Synapse with this mouse or at all.

big tip: lube your scrollwheels
it's totally awesome

Whoa there buddy. Just because you like to lube up the ol' "scrollwheel" doesn't mean you need to pressure us into doing the same.

I lubed mine last week but now it's a little too easy to scroll and click.

does anyone know if there is a vertical mouse with a good sensor?

too easy..?
personally i really like the smoothness. it also negates that plastic-on-plastic friction that wears a wheel out over time.
the steps are still defined enough so there's no issue for me.

but i see what you mean, scrolling has become significantly lighter and easier. i got used to it very quickly, though.
and i didn't lube the actual switches. i want them to fully retain their tactility smile.gif

Areson + CYONS1000 + A9500 DPI STEPS =

The best part? The malfunction speed is even lower with the ceramic feet attached.
