new ram

Thread Starter
so here i am thinking i want to get 2 gig of ram for my system. I am going to take out the currant ram and replace with 2 1gig sticks but i dont really know what brand to go with, i dont plan on doing very much oc'ing (i figure 2.3g is ok for now) so i am thinking that the really expencive name brands are not needed. What i need help with is a decent brand/price. I also might be looking at getting an Opteron 165 in the near future.

thanks

If you are not Ocing, then check out Kingston ValueRAM. I can still get 225 (450 effective from them).

Hope that this helps.

KVR is decent stuff, if I were going value ram I would buy Mushkin Value Ram. Check out tankguys, that have some awesome stuff with good prices. The TeamXtreem stuff is great. Uses TCCD chips.
