Leaky XSPC 5.25" Bay Resevior

Thread Starter
Title says my problem, thing is a hunk up poo. I would LIKE to get another, better 5.25" res, but what would my options be here? I have the D5 pump that I can rob from it. I'm running the Corsair 600t case, so I have room, but not a crazy amount.

Just looking for some feedback on my situation, I've already gone through 1 quite expensive PSU (Corsair 1050w) and DON'T want this to happen again.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

I don't know why people keep buying these XSPC Drive Bay Reservoir. I keep reading up on people having issues with them. As for an exchange, how about the EK Drive Bay Reservoir. I'm sure their are different colors or versions of the one I listed if you look around on Google.

If you don't need all those SSD cages, you could remove them, and place a tube reservoir there. Would look quite nice also.

I got it with an xspc kit, Didn't specifically choose it. I was looking at the Ek ones, and I like them. I'm gonna do some more shopping around, it just seems like there aren't many different company options with reservoirs lol

And about he cages.... I am using 4 sleds... Meaning I am using both cages. I only have 1 ssd and 3 hdd's, is there a good spot to move the ssd and eliminate a cage?

What kind of reservoir would you recommend (drive bay or not)? I have been buying kit every paycheck, and the res is my last option. I planned on buying an XSPC dual bay res. Are those Koolance cylinders any good? Do I need to buy a new pump in order to use them?

I'm glad you asked. smile.gif You can actually velcro the SSD to the back chassis of the mobo and just connect the wires that way. Makes cable management a lot neater as well. A lot of people do this. thumb.gif

It all really depends on the amount of space you have in your case. Many people go with the drivebay reservoir/pump combo because it's simple and easy to manage.

If you want to go with a tube reservoir, you can also connect a pump straight onto it via pump tops such as Bitspower D5 / MCP655 Pump Mod Kit + Mod Top V2 w/ Swiftech PWM Pump Installed (Pump, Pump Top, and Pump Cover is included), this is just a reference though. Each part can be bought separately.

You can also buy the Bitspower Reservoir and Pump Combo: Bitspower Dual / Single D5 Top Upgrade Kit 150. In order for this set up to work, you will need to buy a D5 Pump, and Compatible Pump Top.

If you don't have the money laying around for a Reservoir and Pump Top combo, a simple EK 150/250 Reservoir and MCP 655 (with speed control) will definitely get the job done.

Their are other variations of tube reservoir/pump combos, but those are for the MCP 355 Pumps. I stick with the MCP 655's.
