My friend and I are wondering if a extra $30 bucks is worth it.

GPU

MSI GeForce GTX 660 N660 2GD5/OC

CORE: 1006mhz
MEMORY: 6008mhz
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
GPU

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 650 Ti AMP! Edition ZT-61103-10M

CORE: 1033mhz
MEMORY: 6200mhz

I know my friend has the CRYSIS bundle with WARHEAD and CRYSIS 2 he may play CRYSIS 3. I don't know what other game he will play below CRYSIS 3.

i cant go any higher on the gpu we have stretched the budget too far is it its cause he getting a barebones kit

i3 3220
kingston hyperX 4gb ram 1600 mhz cl9
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1 (I know this board is low end but budget tight just trying to get up and running start of a gaming rig )
450watt with a 12V rail with 33amps.

he is coming from intel dual core lga 775 64 bit cpu
5gb ddrs one or 2 ram stock speed
amd hd 4200 or 4600 I forget which one but the card is ****.
we wil be using windows 7 home 64 bit as the os

I would go ahead and get the GTX 660. You can add an additional 660 in the future to use in an SLI configuration, should you need some additional performance. The GTX 650Ti cannot use SLI (unless you get the 650Ti BOOST Edition), and is a pretty low-end card. I would say that the GTX 660 is a pretty good entry-level card.

MSI GTX 660's & ASUS DCU II 660 OC are the best 660's for the cost. It's worth spending the extra $30 over the 650Ti thumb.gif

Edit...The question to ask your self is do you want to spend an extra $30 to have that MSI GTX 660 that can be OCed to match a stock 660Ti?
