During Alpha, they have specific sets of tests to run on specific systems. This particular test is most likely just to verify some things on Win 7 64 bit. Jumping to any sort of conclusion based on an early alpha is silly.

Two posts don't really constitute a major problem...

BF3 may have had memory leaks in W7 as well.... However, no one has proven it because no one seems to know how to do memory analysis.

Battlefield 4 will work just fine on Windows 8.

DICE's technical director been a big supporter of the OS since its release, claiming that at its core it's easily the best Microsoft OS ever, etc.

He's also talked wonders about DirectX11.1.
