actually hoping for the same thing. getting BSOD with prime95 with a hal.dll as the file that caused the crash. Only running 4.3ghz@1.22V and temps are well within check since im under water.

Is there any other software that can control the fan speed on this motherboard? just installed speedfan and it does not detect the fans at all. Thanks

It (Asus AISuite) is reporting the TCase temp, which is measured by a thermocouple directly under the CPU mounting. If you check Intel Thermal Specification Guide, they actually recommend to base CPU cooling on TCase and not on core temps.

Hello my friend just put a new build together with this board the only problem we're having is on skype his microphone has a very loud noise in the background. Gave me a headache hearing it very quickly.

Tried his mic on his desktop and it works.
We tried updating the sound driver.

Okay I think he had mic boost cranked up.

Just an idea, you could check and see if all mother board risers are in place, two, try different outlet in the house to see if a noisy plug is causing the issue or three, put farite cap on the mic cable, https://www.dutch-star.eu/products/cable/images/RFI0000002.JPG

Mine just popped, playing BF4, restarted during a match.

Funny thing is it was actually posting and about to hit the OS when I noticed the smell and saw the smoke.
