Which side of the daughterboard needs cooling? It's somewhat hot to touch mine. I could put some ram heat sinks on the outside of the daughterboard but not the inside

The daughter board comes with heatsinks on it already, but heatsinks won't help without good airflow, so I would say try to mount a fan in the area to keep the heatsinks doing their job.

On the smell, can you localize to a more specific area? Is it from the daughter-board?

Figured it out, not the board at all.

My Glacer pump fried.

Well, that's better than the board! Now you can do a real liquid cooling solution!! biggrin.gif

Anyone got any recommendations on pump/Rez/rad to go along with the BP's block? Want to rid of my h80i(might have to rma it for it's grinding noise). This would be my 1st "actual" water cooled pc i've built over the span of years instead of using AIO's.

Specs are:
MI6
i5-4670k(stock-got 4.2 stable when I did OC it)
bitfenix prodigy
Trident-X 16gig @2400mhz
2: Samsung 840 Evo120gig SSD's(1 OS/2nd for games)
1-1tb wd(green drive)
Evga 650 Ti Boost SC 2gb
Corsair HX650w psu
Win 7-Pro x64

Hi People,

I need some advise from you.

May i know which of these CPU Coolers, the Noctua NH-L12, NH-L9i or the NH-U12P SE2 will fit perfectly with my system configuration below?
I am concern about its performance, however, more concern that it also fits in perfectly without any major constraints.
Thanks so much smile.gif

System Configuration:
1) Asus Maximus VI Impact
2) Intel 4770K
3) G Skills Trident F3-2666C11D-16GTXD Rams
4) MSI GeForce GTX 760 GAMING ITX
5) Corsair 250D Case
6) Corsair AX860i PSU

2) Intel 4770K

NH-L9i has 92mm thin fan and is not recommended for a K chip; NH-U12P is discontinued but it does fit; and NH-L12 also fits in the M6I.

Thanks so much for your inputs.
So based on your recommendations, assuming that I have access to both the U12P and L12, which one in your opinion will perform better?
I was initially afraid that I will not be able to install the rams and/or together with its fans if I were to install either of these CPU Cooler.

Thank you very much smile.gif

I didn't even look at the RAM, just at the CPU cooler heatsink / motherboard combination. It might indeed be better to get low profile ram when air cooling.
