Upgrade for GeForce GTS 250

Thinking about upgrading by GeForce GTS 250 1GB and wondering what my options are. I use my PC for photo editing and the latest version of Photoshop uses the GPU. Im getting a lot of lag. Im upgrading the Ram to 16GB but thinking about changing the GPU too. Happy to pay about £100.

My power supply is only 350W so need a GPU which is ok with that. Im lost when it comes to GPU so any advice would be great. Thanks guys smile.gif

Pc specs:

Ram: 4Gb (soon to be 16GB)

Depending on what you would like (AMD vs Nvidia) I found both that should be good under your power supply: GTX 650 or the AMD Radeon HD 7770. Both provide some gains on the GTS 250 and both should be marked under 100.

do you think its worth changing the card? Seems the gain might not be too much

the gain would be pretty big going to the 7770 or 650 or even the 7750.

http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-650-vs-GeForce-GTS-250 (this 650 is overclocked a good bit it that bench mark but it at stock wouldn't be but maybe 10% slower.)

also a 7750 would be a good choice for even lower power consumption while being not much slower then the other options.

The 7770 says it need a 500w psu ,but your gts 250 uses more watts then all of these cards
