Evo 212 + Asus P9x79 + NZXT Switch 810

Hi everyone, Im switching from my XSPC liquid cooling system to a easier set up. Im getting my Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 in the mail today. I was wondering how should I set up the fan on the heatsink, I have 3 exhaust fans and 3 intake fans in my NZXT Switch 810 case.

2 top exhaust fans, 1 exhaust fan is at the rear of the case...
2 intake fans at the front case, 1 intake fan close the bays pointing towards my GPU and MOBO...

Should I put the heatsink fan where the air is coming in or does it even matter? Sorry if this sounds confusing.

I point mine towards the rear of the case.

Hopefully my ram will allow room for it. Side question... did you use the back plate it came with?

I have an X79 motherboard which has a backplate already.

It will clear standard height RAM with about 5mm. to spare. And that is with the RAM side fan flush with the bottom of the heatsink. If you need a little more clearance, you can mount the fan a bit higher with no real loss of airflow.

Your motherboard should already have all the backplate it needs :-)

As for your first question. Front to back is the common and generally the advised orientation.
