[SOLVED] New PSU for GTX 770 + i5 3570K - Page 3

Any thoughts on this PSU: a Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 520W (Review)

It seems like a decent PSU and Hardware.info (Hardware website with a high reputation in the Netherlands) recommended it, just like the review in the link.
The reson I came across this one is because the Seasonic M12II has both a 4-pin and 8-pin CPU connector, both of which are irremovable, which seemed very stupid in my opinion.
Therefore, I kept looking for an alternative.

Forget the Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 below 720 watts the OEM below is Seventeam and above is Enhance Electronics

Seventeam sucks they made the crappy Cooler Master GX series which was so bad its a system killer PSU

Unless you want to kill your PC dont buy anything from Seventeam

You know the new NZXT HALE 82 V2 might just be the thing for you

Really? Then how come the PSU gets such great reviews?
I found this video on youtube where it even reaches ~800W without shutting down??!

Are you sure it's made by that OEM and are you sure everything they make sucks?

Because every article on the internet I read seems very convinced that it is a pretty decent PSU.

The bigest PSU expert here on OCN Phaedrus2129 he is the former PSU editor and he said

Unless Seventeam starts to get their act together and start making good units again you sould not buy anything from them ever

Yes Seventeam sucks their track record with the Cooler Master GX series proved they suck and they cant make anything that is good anymore

Anything from Seventeam is not worth touching even with a bargepole

Short answer yes they suck

Hmm...

When I checked the forum for other experiences with Seventeam, there were mixed reactions.
From a moderator that put it in his recommended list to people who were hating on the OEM.
I also noticed that most bad PSU's were in the higher wattage range (700~850W)

Seems to mee like they've got both ups and downs. Couldn't this PSU be one of their ups?
Also, what PSU would you recommend that is:

- Modular
- Decent quality
- Not very expensive

I haven't found my ideal PSU yet among the ones recommended earlier.

The Super Flower Golden Green seems to be the only one that fits all that

But its not a very common unit in the EU its rebrands are much more common

Any idea what the rebrands might be?
Because the non-rebrands cost around €100 here, which I find to be too expensive.
