Also downclocking the card won't do much for lowering power usage, try running it at a lower voltage and less clock. Also try removing any overclocks on anything else thumb.gif

All 7950's with a BOOST BIOS run at 1.25v AFAIK, try and run it at 1.15v at say 900MHz and see what happens, if it still crashes try a bit less.

I'm running a Zalman 750watt PSU - 80+ rated with over 60 amps on the 12v rail. I ran two 5850s and an i7 920 on it just fine, which uses up far more energy than I do now.
I just tried running Windows Experience Index (WEI) - it crashed on me when it got to the graphics calculation part. At this point I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with the GPU and my PSU is fine. :/

I'm not 100% sure, because I'm playing Battlefield 3 right now and it runs fine, a bit of coil whine and VDDC at 1.250 (no crashes yet).

Hmm, fair enough. Have you checked the VRM temperature and core temps? I know that the card will shutoff if VRM's get too hot.

Core temps seem to not exceed around 60s'C, and GPU-Z doesn't read VRM temperatures for me (I have 7.1).

did u try downclock + undervolt? and see if that would help? if that doesnt then you just have to get an RMA
