Best AntiVirus/Spyware Program - Page 2

I agree and disagree with you Clayton. I have a router because I need to hook up my XBOX, laptop, desktop, etc. not because I'm worried about intruders, but there's no denying that the firewall is still a very useful feature. I have NOD32 installed but I never let it run in the background. The only time I ever use NOD32 is when I use the on demand scanner. If someone sends me a file and they may not know what they're doing, I check it, things like that.

Be smart and you don't have to worry about anything, however, being smart is not always going to work. I'm not advocating throwing away security measures completely but if you have some common sense, you really don't need complex security measures.

Ahhh Gotcha, yeah we dont have a family PC, everyone has their own so I guess that makes sense. I can relate to that because I have seen my moms and my brothers pc. Makes me scared.

Well said, I like routers as well, not for security but the security is a bonus indeed.

I suppose it never hurts to have a scanner, maybe I am lucky

I use NOD32 for virus protection and I use Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D for
Spyware.

I use the integrated windows firewall, and actually I've been putting it off but I will be getting a VPN Firewall Router or something because I need a router for my PC Business and it needs to be a firewalled router.

Yea, can't wait until I build my OWN rig *dreams of a peaceful place with everything OCed*

Security measures (anti-virus/malware and firewalls) aren't really needed unless you or someone you know don't know what they are doing...

I demand Safe Web-Browsing classes for EVERYONE that has ever SEEN a computer... we would all be somewhat better off.

I like being able to go on any and every website without having a problem so I DO have NOD32 running all the time, and the main reason I like to have it running is because it uses only 3MB of sys. resources.
