Doesn't mean they won't start skipping PC. If this is Ubisoft seeing if there is still some interest from the PC community, then it should be taken seriously, cause if there wasn't much of a response, they might think to not include us in a few games.
They know how important the PC platform is to the overall health of the gaming industry. Just like how consoles are just as important to them. Remember, they imposed DRM to protect their investment but then decided to remove it entirely after they realize how popular PC gaming has gotten and not only does hurting their pockets but it also creates a very bad image of the company. Just look at EA.They are seeing as evil corporation. This is pretty genius IMO.
This entire campaign seems just like a PR marketing stunt to me. They haven't outright said, "this game is not coming on PC ever but put a question mark over it. Why else would they ask for PC gamers to sign petitions and post it on forums
? The only reason I can think of it is free advertisement for the product. So in other words, they are saving money and making us do their work for them
. I am highly confident that the game will come on PC. However, seeing how consoles have just been announced, it will probably be delayed on the PC.
