X79 motherboard I was about to puchase went discontinued need advice

Update: Decided to get one for now rather then be left in the position of having to wait or try to source one from a difficult place to deal with (have 30 days to make my mind up). Thanks for the recommendation of a similar board (I did double check the UP5 out, still seems like its a mixed bag I am sure some are fans of it though). I would really as I post below appreciate some more input though as I am not an experienced as many here are.

Hey guys I have not posted on the site for some time but hoped that you could lend me your opinion, I will include a short back story as to where I am coming from.

I was just about to pull the trigger and purchase a P9X79 Deluxe to go with my 3930K (already have this part) when Newegg.ca status went from in stock, to out of stock and discontinued over the weekend. After speaking with the Newegg phone support I was informed they will not be ordering more and to assume they would not be in the future (they also gave me the ASUS support number). Spoke with ASUS about the status of the board and was told that as of today the board is still a produced model, the support rep did tell me though that they checked Newegg and saw the stock status which is a good indication that the board is near end of life and might soon be out of production.

With that being said I am now trying to make a sensible choice as I could purchase the board from another webpage that has it in stock which I have looked into and found though its a bit more money. I spent a rather good deal of time looking over the boards that were on offer for socket 2011 recently and had not seen any discussion of a new chipset or refresh at least for the next year. I actually had assembled the new system using an ASUS X79 Sabertooth but found that the chipset fan regardless of profile tuning was always audible (also within the first 2 days the SATA ports were having issues with drives not detecting so I returned the board) so I am just lacking the motherboard at this stage. I will toss the rest of the hardware I am putting together in case it would effect someones opinion of how to go about selecting the board at this point in time.

How about a Gigabyte X79 UP4 or UP5 if the P9X79 Deluxe is out of stock

Hmm i just purchased this board for $225 shipped...I hope I did not over pay. I was going to buy a sabertooth but the price seemed really good.
Oh well, best price i guess in Canada for a X79 board that i could come across.

I looked into the Gigabyte boards but saw that many reviews and customers at least during launch were not impressed with how the UP4 and 5 turned out though I might be mistaken (perhaps an earlier version of a similar name X79 board). I guess the question is there any reason to hold off and wait (is there supposedly a new socket 2011 chipset due out soon that I somehow overlooked and thus new boards). Or is this just the fact the socket is 2 years old now and some models are going to be falling by the wayside.

Where did you obtain this board for 225 shipped considering its 369.00 on almost all retailers sites?

Updated OP, ended up sourcing a board rather then be potentially left in a position where I cannot obtain one easily or at all

As I mentioned I put one on order to avoid being left without an option to get one on hand. I would still appreciate any opinions people might have about my current situation as spending the better part of 400 dollars before taxes on a motherboard is for me a somewhat new concept and I would feel really lousy if I was to find out I had missed a news article or some thread that would lead someone looking at socket 2011 to hold off for short bit (socket refresh or what have you). I will keep an eye on this thread this evening if anyone wishes to contribute, thanks.

Thanks for updating and that makes sense I was somewhat curious how you found a new one, but someone selling one on HWC makes sense
