Do I need to upgrade my CPU?

Thread Starter
Hey I enjoy pc gaming and right now my cpu seems find (Intel i5 3570 non K) but I'm not sure how long it will last. I don't want to bottleneck my 660TI when I play the new games coming out this year. Should I upgrade? Or wait for a new Intel cpu to come around next year and do a motherboard and cpu upgrade?

No, your rig is perfectly fine right now. Your CPU wont bottleneck a single 660Ti.

Your CPU will be fine in games for quite a few years. You can max out most games with i3-530s.

You will not bottleneck with 3570 and I'd daresay even a 770 or a 7970. People and the upgrade bug... symptoms: May cause sudden ignorance of current hardware's capabilities. biggrin.gif

GL to you! Enjoy your new 660 Ti!
