After a raidmax 450w 5volt rail.. i dont think he liked 2 week of folding home wink.gif

And now looking at the Antec vp 450 i can have it for 45$ canadian in a shop i know the ripple level is very good and max load output is 550w thumb.gif

DO you think it enough? it dual rail of 18amp in test i think they reached 22amp

Spec

Core 2 duo e8400 (65w stock) plan to overclock to 3.6+ already made it but the raidmax was on it end when i tried..

And to upgrade later if i can to Xeon x3360 (95w stock) Probably not going to overclock it. going to make a server.. biggrin.gif

2x2gb 1333 Kingston Value Ram (KVR) plan to add another 2x2gb

Intel Dp45sg Extreme max fsb reached was 1600 stable but eh with the raidmax crap rolleyes.gif

Asus Engts250 1gb ( stock 150w) dont plan to overclock voltage lock... mad.gif

Seagate 7200rpm 1tb

Mouse keyboard with led.. Logitech G510 biggrin.gif

5 fan in the case 2 with led. 2 for the heatsink coolermaster n520

Maybe if your going through almost 1 PSU a year you should spend just a little more and buy quality this time. I dont know much about PSUs but there are some guys on here that can recommend some really good ones, and theres a thread somewhere listing quality PSUs.

Depens which Antec it is as there are 3 versions of the VP series

So which one are you looking at?

Note they all use one OEM so they have ZERO to do with each other maybe other then the name

Thats a FSP made unit

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cases/display/psu-400w-520w_5.html#sect0

The Antec VP450P is a real disappointment. Being highly efficient, this PSU has a very unstable +5V voltage, poor fan speed regulation (the fan accelerates linearly right from the start) and an undeservedly high price. It is only cheaper than the other Antec in this review, but the latter is free from the mentioned downsides and offers much more power on the +12V rail.
