So I got a refurbished logitech G700 from newegg recently. I got issues with battery life.

I got one when it was on sale for $38, seems like a great mouse, and the one I got looks brand new, but the battery life is horrendous, it goes from a full charge to 1 bar in 4 hours. Is this normal for this mouse? Or should I RMA this? The chord is a bit too heavy, and greatly impedes the smooth function of this mouse, so I hate having to use this with the power chord plugged in.

As far as which settings I got the mouse on, everything is still default for the most part.

Its a great mouse, definitely for $38, love being able to change the DPI on the fly, and also being able to make the scroll wheel "free roll", its great for browsing web pages. And I'm one of those freaks that actually makes use of the 5700 DPI.

I used to have a G700 and your battery life is on par with what I had. Something that can help a bit is to make a "Desktop" profile for when you're not gaming and set it to "Power Saver" and put the polling rate as low as it can go. Then setup a profile for your games and set it to "Normal Gaming" and increase the polling rate.

The battery life was my only complaint about the G700. Otherwise, I fully agree that it's a great mouse - especially for the price you got yours at. thumb.gif

I have a Logitech G700 and the battery life has never been too good, but it never really bothers me because I almost always use it with the USB cord. I also agree that the cord is a bit heavy, and because it's not braided it does get in the way sometimes. If you've already made a "power saver" profile with the Logitech gaming software, as suggested above^, then just make sure that you've installed the latest version.

If the battery life starts to degrade anymore than its current state, then I would RMA it. Just recently I had to RMA my G700 (broken button) and so far Logitech Support has been really great and they are shipping me a new mouse. I believe it has a 3 year warranty.

Overall it's an awesome mouse, and $38 is a great deal.

Same here battery life is pretty horrible but despite that it's a great mouse and perfect for me. My advice is to buy a pack of eneloops w/charger, quick battery swap and your g2g. I don't really care to use the cable cause of the same reasons as you. I've also got a desktop profile saved for it, so yes it does help. Also the battery indicator is not all that accurate in my experience, I'd only swap batteries once the indicator starts pulsing red.
