But only if a game doesnt use Steamworks for activation or online play.
What I hate more though is GFWL. Neglected by microsoft for months. PC version is the worst.
I too bought some older computer games on retail for a bargain price.
Registering a game can be done easily. Problem is activating it for online play.
Basically, with PC games getting so cheap, there is no use in re-selling or buying used games anymore.
Also with so many torrents you will never lose the games you purchased, even if Steam goes offline.
Consoles still have that flexibility for retail. PCs dont need it anymore.
