OVERCLOCKING MY AMD A10 5800K (HELP)

Thread Starter
hi there
well i got my a10 and i want to run some tests on it.
it's a 3.8ghz apu they say the turbo goes to 4.2, so i want to test if its stable in the 3.8 and in the 4.2
im going to run prime 95 so i wanted to know how much time do you ppl normaly run the test.
also, i wanted to know what kind of software do you use for overclocking.
thanks in advance.

Welcome to OCN.

First off-Turbo Core means this: if a game or application only uses one or two cores , and the other two aren't in use, it boosts up only the two cores that are performing the task.
Please give us some more information. What mobo are you using? Wich cooler?
For Prime95, if it needs to be quick I only do 24-30 hours, however I prefer I let it run for like two entire days.
For OC software: AMD OverDrive is great for 'test driving', but you will mainly need to focus on the BIOS for a 100% stable overclock.

Cheers, let me know!
