GTX 550 TI

Thread Starter
This is my first post on these forums and i need some help, i've had my gtx 550 ti for a while now and i decided i wanted to find out if i could improve its performance on my games since i dont like that it runs 10 to 20 fps on decently demanding games like WarZ, DayZ, and CS:GO, is it possible to OC my gtx 550 ti without harming it and if this helps my specs are:

Processor: 2.4 GHz E2220 Intel Pentinum Dual Core
GPU: GTX 550 TI 4100 MHz
RAM: 3 GB

You have the non-boost version? I could be wrong but I thought those were non-overclockable. And if you can overclock it ofcourse there are ways you can overclock without harming, but it might not be worth it because if you get a gppd 15% performance increase from overclocking your going from 20fps to 23fps..

You can try to oc the gtx 550 but I would not ..
It is your cpu that is not letting that card perform .
I would check out the Intel part of the forum
them guys can help you a ton and let you know if that cpu can get oc 'ed the right way to help that card but please put full sytem specs with the type of cpu cooler have before you talk to them ..good luck and welcome to OCN

i also think that CPU is holding you back. look at GPU-Z while gaming and if its lower than 90% while gaming and your cpu is 100%; thats where the bottleneck is. you can then try OCing that E2200 . .
