Price for a 7950.

So I don't know if I got a good deal or not on a craigslist deal here. I traded a guy my gigabyte 6850 OC + 120 cash for a sapphire reference design 7950. I got the better deal right? Considering time to sell 6850 I thought it was alright? On a side note, the card was BRAND NEW IN BOX, and I got crysis 3 out of it.

And if you're wondering the damn card barely fits in my mid case, I had to kinda shove it in and move all my wires around hahah.

Man, I would love to do the same thing, I got 2 6850s right here...

The 7770 gives you 6850ish performance now, and is $100 to $140 new. 7950 are still $300+ as far as I know... who traded a new 7950 for a 6850 anyway?

Guy on craigs list, he said he got burned on ebay so wanted to do local. I was shocked when he said he would trade + cash. My card is like a year and 3 months old. I think I'll be set for at least another 2-3 years, And yea BNIB was pretty epic.

I'd say a 6850 is worth $120, and thats being generous looking at current craigslist prices... a 7950 for $240 with no re-sale hassle. Ya, you got a great deal IMO.

It does have a crappy stock cooler, but meh. You could always mod an H70 to it, then OC it to hell and back biggrin.gif

Yea the Saphire 7950 is a powerhouse. I run everything on Ultra with no issues. I see good numbers on pretty much everything I play. My next goal is to upgrade to a better monitor and I am saving up for a HP ZR30w 30". I currently just play on my hdtv in my room but 1920x1080 isn't utilizing the card as much as it could be. The Vapor X card I have has a way to auto overclock by simply hitting a button. Love this card. Temps stay cool and its a beast. Fits nice in my case although your right it's huge. I don't mind though because my case is huge also.
