So I'm trying to get some compression fittings for my xspc radiator and res, tubing is the regular 1/4 id or 3/8 id I think.

anyway whats the difference between

16/10 compression fitting and 16/13 compression fittings?

lets say
Alphacool 16/10 compression fitting 45° revolvable G1/4

Alphacool 16/13 compression fitting 45° revolvable G1/4

Whats the difference? i don't want to get everything and realize the tubing is too lose or the fittings are wrong. I don't get these numbers. will they fit my tubing and everything? wth.gif

You need to know the id/od on ur tubing. Or else u are just gambling. If u can not find out what size tubing u have.
Then just order new tubing with ur new fittings.

The size on those compression fittings are in mm. So 16/10 = od/id and u need a tubing with the same od/id.
Usually most site have both inch/mm show on their products.

There is some metric to imperial confusion going on in here.

G1/4 is the size of the thread on fittings.

ID
3/8 = 10mm
7/16 = 12mm
1/2 = 13mm

OD
1/2 = 13mm
5/8 = 16mm
3/4 = 19mm

The tubing that comes with XSPC kits is 7/16, 5/8 or 12mm inner diameter and 16mm outer diameter. The size of the fittings that comes with the kits depends on which one you get, the compression fittings are 7/16, 5/8 but the basic barb fittings are 1/2 inch OD so the tube is nice and snug.

To top it off those wacky Eurotrash at Alphacool also switch around the ID and OD, so they will list outside diameter first and inner diameter second while the American based stuff is inner first then outer.
