Wii or 360? - Page 6

My arms get tired as heck playing on the wii, go with the 360...you can play hours on end without being exhausted. I personally like to play games when I'm feeling lazy and tired and I don't know about you, but thats the last thing I want to do is swing my arms all over the place when I'm tired. Plus I wasn't too impress playing that red steel or whatever it was, to aim the weapon you have to keep your arm up constantly and you cannot relax your wrist, you have to keep it pointing at the tv constantly. plus if you try to relax you arm while playing your character will look at the ground and spin to the right....I don't know about you but I'm sticking with my 360

The nunchuck is cool, the game play is awesome on most all games available. Driving games are challenging. Fighter games are interactive. Shooter games require skill and patience, as you really have to aim it like you would a gun, and not knob off with an Xbox/Xbox360 or PS/1/2/3 controller in your hand. Sports games, you really have to throw the ball, swing the bat, knock the guy out with your own two hands, and many other items, while using the controller.

Props to the 360 and PS3 for being the two consoles out there that have better anything than the Nintendo Wii, but it's about how you play games. Sure, Halo 3, Gears of War, GRAW, and a butt load of other games are better than this system, but the games for the Wii are $10USD less than any other game system's, other than the best seller series, there's just as an abundant variety as any other system, and each has its own charm to the respective gamer buying it.

My answer: The Wii. It's got ba11s. It's new. It makes you really have to get interactive, and, if you'd do that already with a game, take the time to learn now, how to use a Wii Remote, to run around and accomplish whatever amount of game play you're in doing.

The 360 if you really don't want to do anything yourself. By that, I mean getting up, scoping up the kill shot by holding your arm steady, or getting a grand slam in baseball because you lack the interest to swing the bat, etc. I want to get a 360. The games look great.... but my heart will always be with the Wii.

Haven't played it myself; but from the multiple reviews I have read, Red Steel is not really the game to use to judge the Wii.

I have both a Wii and a 360, and I like the Wii better. The 360 is a great console, but it's basically the same old stuff in new packaging, while the Wii is a breath of fresh air even for veteran gamers.

And don't be fooled by the Wii's underpowered hardware - just because games don't look as good as they would on a 360 or PS3 doesn't mean that they look bad. Twilight Princess is a prime example, and it's definitely not the limit of Wii's possibilities.

wow .. so far the only post i have seen that made any logic at all would be from vulcandragon .. to compare the wii and 360 is like comparing black and white to color.. my point of view on this.. is if your a hardcore gamer love online game play .. and are above the age of 17 go with the 360.. if you are 16 and under and dont mind game cube graphics and have the energy to swing a controller over and over and over with out getting tired or board then by all means go for the wii.. .. if you want games like halo 3 .. gears of war .. get a 360.. if you want zelda and mario get a wii.. if you want to be able to download movies musicvideos tv shows and sporting events and watch them in great quality get a 360.. if you want to download old ass old school games ( which some are great.. god i love shadowrun and many others from that time) then get a wii if you wish to play on line have stats tracked talk to your friends keep your online name and tons of other features .. get a 360.. if online play isnt that important to you get a wii.. if you want to be considered cool get a 360 if you want to get laughed at by the cool people.. get a wii .. but with all honesty .. it comes down to this.. what do you want to play and what system do ya need to play it on.. personally to me.. im hardcore 360 fanboy yes i said.. you can not tell me in anyway that a wii is better.. personally i think the motion control stuff is lame.. i have a 1080p lcd so 480p just doesnt cut it i pretty much only play games online.. so i got live.. .... and to the guy that said theres nothing like gears of war in 1080p.. sorry bud.. thats a 1080i only game.. if ya want 1080p go play sonic

First a warning, I am a die hard Nintendo fan and nothing will ever convince me otherwise. Remember I'm not attacking you, so don't take offense. I just love debates.

Going by your logic...

If you want another computer, get a 360. If you want a gaming console, get a Wii. That should be enough, but I'm going to respond a little more to your post.

Since when did having a 360 instantly make you "cool" and having a Wii instantly got you laughed at by the "cool" people. I don't know about you, but if "cool" people aren't open to innovation and progression, then I don't want to be "cool". So laugh at me. I have a Wii and I love it. Laugh at my friend, who offered to trade me his 360 for my Wii. Laugh at all of the other people who bought the Wii. It's still unavailable you know, every week stores are getting huge amounts of them, and they are all gone in less than 5 minutes. A Toys"R"Us near my house got 65 last Sunday (two days ago), and there were 90-100 people in front of the store 3 hours before it even opened.

And about online play, SSB:Brawl is going to have multiplayer online. And I'm sure many other titles will too. The capability for multiplayer is there, it just isn't really implemented in the limited selection of launch titles.

Oh and there's one more thing I need to respond to.

This is really wrong. The graphics are a lot better than the Gamecube. There is no doubt about that. And how much energy does it take to move your mouse? That's about how much energy it takes to move the Wii controller. Please don't bash things when you haven't even tried them. And yes, I have played the 360. I've played Gears of War. And while it is a great game and the graphics are pretty cool, I'd rather stick with my Wii.

End angry Nintendo fan response.

Just an humble opinion, but your comparison went very well up until you made these points.

I am curious as to just how you define the sexual-preference of a non-sentient and inanimate object.
Yes, I realize that people use this turn-of-phrase (ie: x or y is gay) to show disdain; but for my 2 cents worth, it is an expression which is offensive and completely not-needed. Furthermore it shows ignorance, lack of humanity and ruins an otherwise intelligent post.
Just my 2 cents - nothing personal.

first let me state that the .. makes you cool get you laughed at.. was a joke.. hence the and the in all seriousness.. thats the fanboy in me coming out.. god .. some people are just uptight.. and my post was edited.. to apease those that find the terming of something gay offensive.. ... now as a response to what was said.. whatever.. .. im sorry but the online play for the xbox to me is far better then anything the pc ps(x) and wii have and using the wii controller takes a lot more energy then it does to move a mouse to me thats not a valid argument if people are throwing the wii-mote hard enough to smash tvs walls and hurt people.. that there is certainly some force being used.. as for the age thing i dont think its so wrong and the graphics area really not that much better then a game cube.. wow 480p.. big deal.. maybe minor improvements but not much but i understand nintendos logic on this they are basing it off the fact that majority of people still use standard tvs and would not take advantage of better stuff anyway.. and if ya think im wrong about the age thing.. well look at the marketing plans nintendo has used for years.. its a kids system.. well kids to mid teens.. the 360 and ps3 is geared more for adults sorry but its true as for the open to innovation and progression.. like i said i find the motion thing rather lame and not very progressive at all .. also if all truth be said.. the cool guy is the one that owns all 3 systems ... now to the post below that one my remark was ment to be offensive to the wii controller.. i dont care if i seem human or not by your standards which i probably strive to not be but my thoughts on the current society and what people have to deal with to be considered normal or proper would get me banned and or arrested we will just leave it at that and that post was not ment to be intelligent but to reflect ones point of view .. thanks for your critique tho and sorry you are offended by a 3 letter word

definatly, i've tried both freind has a WII and neighbor has a 360,

Overall: I like the 360 more its got everything from quality, graphics sound, it has it all

But the WII, its got its own twists and turns, its got lower quality but is also fun to get, It's not all hardcore as the 360, plus teh graphicks kinda suck
