The aim of the mod is to increase Geralt’s overall responsiveness on combat – changing and adding animations to make combat smoother and snappier.

Full Combat Rebalance 2 is due to release later this week.

Core Changes

Up to 80% increase in responsiveness per Geralt’s animations.
Up to 50% increase in responsiveness per NPCs animations.
Added strafing while being locked on an enemy and walking.
Geralt can block while moving ( NEW ANIMATIONS ). Static Guard Stance is no longer required to parry enemy attacks.
Geralt automatically parries enemy sword attacks and deflects incoming arrows. It doesn’t mean Geralt is invincible. It’s not a 100% chance to parry and the value is not constant. It changes depending on how many hits you block in a short time and from where does the hit land.
Geralt and his attackers are no longer bouncing off parry. It allows to continue attack sequence.
Monster attacks still cannot be parried with a sword.
While using Guard Stance Geralt channels an active Quen shield.
Above listed changes to defence mechanics decreased importance of rolling in combat.

Yes!!! My biggest problem with Witcher 2 was the sluggish combat. Time to reinstall and have another play through when this comes out.

That actually sounds awesome! I mean, I honestly never really minded the combat in TW2, I still enjoyed the game and there were a lot of different fun things you could do once you got a hold of how exactly the system worked. You could also "exploit" the combat system a bit and have fun with enemies by trapping them and burning them from behind, than throwing daggers and rolling in to do a finisher move. It was fun. xD But I do agree that the animations were a bit bulky and if you weren't used to the that style of animations, it probably sucked for you.

Edit: But to be honest, I wish you could only get the improved animations and responsiveness out of this mod, but not get the rest of the changes, I don't quite like the changes about EXP and how it will be rewarded as well as the changes to the economy. But, I will still download this and use it as yet another excuse to play through TW2 for the 5th time xD
