Thats sounds very strange normally its the cheap ultra crappy units that goes up in smoke not the good high end units

Sounds like you got the one i a million broken one

Jonnyguru abused the hell out of his sample and it took everything and then some he threw at it

Info and reviews about it here

And 1000 watts is way overkill with two video cards

Wish I saw this earlier. I ended up with the xfx 750w full modular. I'm going to make my own cables and sleeve that bad boy up. I read jonnyguru's review of the fractal 1000w and they really liked it. I never shopped at NCIX before so didn't think of searching there.

Because I saw looniam's link for the xfx and thought that was a great deal after reading about seasonics' new km3 platform. I thought the thread was going to die after that post. I'm not truly disappointed and I'm glad to learn about NCIX as a potential place to shop for hardware. Living in Massachusetts I'm a Newegg and microcenter guy usually.

NCIX here in Canada is AMAZING. Great shipping times, easy RMA, good staff and they have Linus too thumb.gif Some things are more expensive and some less but they will try to price match for you. Shinny new electronics smell the best from their stores- That's a fact thumb.gif
