How was the vram use with 2xMSAA @ 7680x1600? And how was the gameplay, smooth? If you could post some Precision or AB monitoring results and Frametime graphs using FRAPS that would great! Here is how you graph your frametimes if you havent done it before. http://www.overclock.net/t/1337569/fraps-frametime-similar-to-techreports-methods-viewer-application-released
Its not as good as PCPer's method, but it gets the job done.

Let me figure this out and I'll get some #'s up with 7680x1600 @ 2x

So I have the cards running @ 1150 core 6100 mem 1 of the cards is a runt core tops out at 1136 and it's ASIC is 67% other 2 are 75.4 and 78.6%

Depending how the benches go and compared to titan I'll decide to keep the cards or get titans.

Update:

Okay I've been testing like AA From Disabled to 1X to 2X.

The VRam usage is still 3GB regardless (card is maxed out)

however without any AA and with 1X Frame rates are 70+ @ 7680x1600.

I'm still trying to figure how to do some kind of benchmark so everyone can see but here's a screen shot.

Frames go anywhere from 50 -100+ but hover around 70-80 fps constantly.

Settings are Maxed out expect for AA. Very high system spec etc.

Thats where plx chipped z77 boards come into play.

Can anyone verify tri-sli only "officially" running in 16x8x8x? what ever that means... (drivers?)

Looks like the 780s vram are already at the borderline of being maxed out with no AA.

Do you notice any stuttering during gameplay or is it smooth?

Are you able to post PX, AB, or timeframe graphs?

Also what OS are you running?

Windows 7. Gameplay is smooth no shuttering. I'm at the new york 2.0 start zone.

Can you go into more details on what I need to do?

So far I'm guessing just fraps then run it through the program. However fraps will lag hard @7600.

Any other methods?

It's a balance between enough GPU grunt and VRAM. That is why I suggested going with Tri-SLI Titan at a minimum if one is going with 1600P Surround.

I've always had a question about this with 2560x1440 vs 2560x1600.

The 27" screen has 108ppi vs 30" with 100ppi, so shouldn't it actually not matter and the performance of these two screens similar?

Okay fraps just lags me bad.

Ive had to use the galaxy tuner just the same as evga diff skin to show the fps and used my phone to record the numbers so you can get an idea.

Video, coming next

Here's the Video about 1:30 long.

It's mainly just focused on the side of the screen on the FPS but you can see which scene it is outdoors explosions etc.

Which OCing utility are you using?
Precision X or Afterburner are the best.

For frametime measurements FRAPS is the only current program that I know of. Weird I have no problems with FRAPS @ 5760.

Xtreme tuner plus the one I downloaded from Galaxy's website.

Yeah if I Try to Fraps my fps will just drop to like 9fps and lags like crazy when I'm trying to screen capture.

As you can see the FPS maintains very well even with 3GB maxed out. So Yeah GTX 780 Can run 7680x1600 without issues 3 of them if I could drop in 4th one I'd be able to have even higher fps and Enable 2X AA.

The only thing the 3GB limit will stop you from doing is Going higher than a certain AA level My Guess would be either 2X or 4X.

Otherwise there's no issues with 780's and 7680x1600.
And the GPUs are all ready stressed out with the workload before the VRAM evens out.

FXAA+90fps > 2xAA+50fps @7680x1440.
