shipping an expensive monitor with only original box?

I sold my VG278h and am shipping it out, the box it came in is very strong, in fact newegg shipped it to me in the raw box, i thought that was odd but it got here without a scratch so im thinking of shipping it the same way im just worried out the box being dropped...

it seems that Samsung ships thier monitors the same way.. minus the delivery guy..

Samsung ships in original box :

I dont have much advice to give but if its any re-assurance I would agree that shipping it in the original box again would be acceptable. Could be helpful to add some newspaper in the box just to make it a little more snug. If your shipping from a shipping depot they should have fragile stickers that you can put on it. Its important to make the receiver feel like you cared enough to try and get it to them safely. Maybe tape a few layers of disposable hand towels over the screen to prevent scratches, use mild adhesive tape like masking tape.

I suggest using what the Korean eBay sellers use at the very least, which is this tough plastic that they wrap around the box...dunno where you buy that though.
