Really, Respawn rolleyes.gif

Quote:

When asked if Xbox One’s cloud computing capabilities would help TitaFall, Respawn developers had this to say:

“You couldn’t make this game without having that kind of dedicated server support.”

Not only that, but since Respawn won’t be using the Xbox cloud on the PC version of TitanFall they say the PC version won’t be as good as Xbox One version. They said:

“We won’t get all the nice-ities on PCs that you get on Xbox One. There will be some re-engineering things.”

Basically Respawn says that the game will be best on Xbox One because of the cloud. Since the game is an online title it makes sense that they’d use this feature so much since players will need internet to use the game anyway.

Really? We have double performance with a pc and they cant code the game with the same features because they dont have a lame cloud?

they want to sell the inferior version as much as they can

Wait, you mean a game publisher is admitting that they aren't going to spend as much time on the PC version and it will suck compared to the Xbox version? Ya, we caught that clue during the last 7 years of crappy PC ports of console games.

I hope they actually use cloud computing on consoles for the foreseeable future on Xbox especially as the spec is really underwhelming but with cloud you can off load a lot of the processing which means the console is going to have a munch longer life span and will produce great titles.

I am in the unfortunate position that all my friends have jumped back on to the Xbox bandwagon after yesterday announcement and they are getting Xbox one over PS4 as they all loved 360. (Which I also preferred for console gaming with friends online)

Trying to explain the differences in specification and what it will mean in the long term is like trying to explain math to a chimp.

Next step Microsoft need to take is upgrade the ram to GDDR5 and put in a faster GPU, even if its the exact same as PS4 I would be happy.

"We won’t get all the nice-ities on PCs that you get on Xbox One."

How about listing them Mr. Cloud?

More than that tbh.

I wonder what exactly they're offloading to the cloud, because there's only so much that can be computed remotely without negatively impacting responsiveness. I'm having a really hard time buying this excuse, but it's so vague who knows exactly what he's referring to.

Respawn is the limitation here, not the pc.

Meh. Sounds like M$ payed them to hype up the Xbone version and the awesome power of the cloud ends up being no more significant then it was in SIMCITY 5.

Really with out an feature list and a reason why it can't be done on PC I don't believe for a second a PC can't do the same as a cloud assisted XBO.

No loss. From what I've seen, the game doesn't seem that impressive anyway. It's hard to imagine how awful a gimped version would be.
