Agree.

If he's not using the IGP, no point in getting an APU.

The I3 will have better cpu performance which is given.
pretty much what i was saying, but i was saying these games dont need top notch gpu performance, for instance starcraft uses alot of cpu when screen get busy, so both would work but depending on the situation each setup would be better or worse.

Still, 6570 CF with 5600k/6600k eats the i3+6570 for lunch. Totally. And it's alot cheaper than the i3 and he has a upgrade path (i think) and why the hell do YOU want more CPU performance when GPU performance is better?
As if the CPU is such a BIG bottleneck. Jesus, it's a freaking quad-core
And those who thinks that the 5600k eats more power, nope. You're wrong. He can have a A8-5500 and their power consumption is not very far off between each other and this is speaking good of the 5600k ... it can be undervolted quite alot.

I would really recommend upping your specs unless you want to be building whole new PC's 18 months down the line when new titles come out...
What BS is that? I can play D2 smooth on a HD5450 on the lowest settings

Why go i3 when you can crossfire? smile.gif And this is coming for a Intel/nVidia diehard. When I first heard about these APUs I just had to build with one, they are such a great idea. So I built a PC for work biggrin.gif

I really recommend getting as much bang for your buck as possible OP. In my opinion that's an APU and compatible GPU, with 8GB of RAM. I think it's more reasonable to hope for $450-$500 without monitors, IMO...

This is my experience, whereas Diablo 3 / LOL was much smoother. It's not BS, it is my experience. Most likely has to do with the single stick of RAM in there atm, which I did mention. Mind your manners.
