How loud is your GPU/ GPU's? - Page 3

My MSI GTX670 (ref cooler) gets loud around 80%, sort of a high pitch fan whine, however it rarely even get close to 80% gaming so doesn't bother me.

My Palit 550ti's can get loud above about 65% but the wife uses them now and she doesn't play anything demanding enough to get em that high

Noisiest card I have had was a xfx 9400gt fatal1ty edition (still have it somewhere) it just had a really annoying pitch to the pathetic little fan on the thing not loud but just irritating (it was also a crap card).

The HIS 5770's I had in CFX weren't too bad, noticeable but bearable.

My HIS 7870 IceQ on it's own is a little less than the pair of 5770's when it is ramped up but pair the 7870 with my 480 (Reference) physx card and it gets to the point where I need to turn my sound system up another notch or two.

The 480 on its own isn't too bad at all, kinda loud, but not too bad, just when it is paired with the 7870 they both just hit the right pitch to complement each other and it seems 10X louder.

Now that it's summer my top card gets really loud... Fans ramp up to 85% to keep it <70c.
It's not a good idea to crossfire vapor-x cards, there is no clearance between them.
