for the orginal Fx processors, but pretty much holds true with pile driver. C1E wouldn't work for me with E.O.C.P with some of the earlier bios versions. (F5 for example)

On the motherboard the revision number will be located between the PCI expansion slots. Not sure what bios you are running, but hopefully its F9 for a rev 1.0 or 1.1 board.

Also on the VRM cooling thing, yes if you have a spare fan and can fit it to the boards VRM it will help you overclock better. The VRM's on the UD3s can get quite hot when overclocking the 8 core processors.
