No, there isn't a huge difference. The biggest difference is the warranty terms.

In general, Dells and Samsungs do have superior image quality, build quality, stands, accessories and such, but these are only by relatively small margins. By far, the biggest difference is support and warranty.

You mean the Samsung PLS. PLS displays are better than IPS displays, although they use the same technology. PLS is more advanced and will give slightly better color reproduction and viewing angles over standard IPS.

No, I meant what I meant. In general, the Dells and Samsungs (and HP's etc.) have superior image quality, build quality, stands and accessories. As of yet, I have seen nothing that definitively shows that either IPS or PLS as having superior image quality.
