Few questions about Samsung 840

hello, so recently i have bought a samsung 840 250GB, and i'm quite pleased with it, however after doing some benchmarks i stumbled onto a few questions.

1) I have SATA 2 on my laptop, therefore the performance is pretty much halved, and i was expecting that, but how come i get 315 MB/s in 4K-qd64 AS SSD bench if i'm running on SATA 2, it must be a bug?
2) I have never got above 25K iops in write benchmark, which falls short of my expectations even on SATA 2, what's wrong (samsung advertised about 65K)?
3) How large impact on the performance does the lacking processor give?

Also, i did all the optimizations and checks that were mentioned in the sean's windows 7 install guide.

EDIT: another quick question, as i'm understanding it 1000 write cycles means that it'll reach the end of its durability expectancy at about 250 TB written. Does that mean that with seeing 25 TB written in samsung magician software i should expect it to fail, as i've heard write amplification of x10 is typical. I know its probably not an issue, but its freaky as i have wrote 0.19 TB (host writes) in the first two days while setting up.

because of the laptop chipset power saving features.

ok, thanks!
i guess the performance loss is unavoidable in such a low end system, and i'm happy with this ssd nevertheless.
although i know that the wearing out problem is overhyped it was just impossible not to worry about it when i finally got my new, shiny ssd, but now i see that the write amount is getting much lower and i'm comfortable with these numbers. tongue.gif
