[NW] Verizon accused of intentionally slowing Netflix video streaming - Page 4

And netflix is not even 1080p...wonder what the "4K revolution already" ppl will be playing on their TV/Panels ...
I also "complained" that TWC is the only thing I get in my area, but at least I see HD netflix + 700-800kb/s download simultaneusly with no issues.
Was the case in 3 different SoCal locations I was using TWC in within the last 4 years.

Same here. Only Netflix has problems. I can stream from other services with no trouble at all.

Netflix has always been fine on my FiOS connection, only once did it ever have to lower the quality and I'm almost positive that had to do with the device I was using with a bad network card.

Youtube on the other hand has been horrible. Fine at late nights but during the day it's nearly impossible. Though I can hop on my phone and play youtube videos perfectly even on a crappy 3G network anytime...

I actually delete my steam games in anger all the time. I've re-downloaded bioshock infinite at least 10 times this month. I'd guess it's about 120gb at least but hey, no point in wasting 60mbps on web surfing. Besides if you pay for unlimited bandwidth or any bandwidth at all, what you do with it should be none of their concern. If you wanted to download the same game 1000 times it doesn't matter. Luckily in canada because of the CRTC's new limits we actually get un-throttled and uncapped internet. Throttling internet is actually illegal here unless explicitly stated when you sign up. Maybe the U.S needs to take a second look at telecommunications laws.

I never had problems, but this isn't something that is easily proved and corrected. ISP all have illegal monopolies in my mind and they way the cable companies came down on Verizon FiOS for expanding is very lame.
