Upgrading my rig a bit(suggestions)

Hi guys between now and the end of the year im going to upgrade my rig a bit with aprox. $350-$450 AUD (maybe more, but not much) So basically i want to know what you would upgrade in my rig given the amount of money i specified. My specs currently are as follows:

CPU: Intel i5 3570K (Stock clock&cooler)
MoBo: Asrock Extreme 4-m z77 motherboard
Gpu: Sapphire HD 7870 OC GHZ ED
HDD: 2TB seagate Barracuda
RAM: 8Gb G.Skill Ripjaws X
CD/RW: some ****ty $25 one
PSU: Thermaltake litepower 700 or 750 watt
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Gunmetal
Monitor: 1920x1080 27" TV
Mouse: TTesports Theron
KB: ****ty logitech membrane keyboard
Headset: Earphones with built in mic
Fans: Regular case fans
I was thinking i might want to get an SSD/ some kind of CPU cooling and get an OC going.or maybe some case fans, LED's and a nice fan controller.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well i'm not sure how far aud goes, i know you guys pay a lot more then the us. But yea an ssd would be one of the best upgrades, a samsung 830 or 840 pro would be good, pick your size. CPU cooler would be good too, good choices would be anywhere from a CM hyper 212 evo to a NH-D14 depending on how far you wanted to go. Or an h50/60/70/80/100 closed water loop. Finally either add another 7870 or sell it and get a 7950/70.

A SSD would be a noticeable difference in load times for starting up and if you got a big enough one in programs. But water cooling and a overclock might make your games faster so it really depends on where you want to see the improvements. Or a new GPU and SLI the GPU's might be better for games..

It really depends on what you do with this computer.

I pretty much only use the PC for gaming and regular activities. I think I might go with a Corsair H100i for OC which is $150 then get a 128Gb samsung 840 SSD for $135

Don't get an 840, either an 840 PRO or an 830. But i wouldnt spend that much on the cpu cooler, id go smaller, maybe just a hyper 212 and use the rest to upgrade the gpu. Youll get more performance out of that then few hundred mhz more cpu.

I personally would swing for a hyper 212 or something similar in performance per price and use the remaining on grabbing another 7870 and a SSD. Depending on how meticulous you are in your overclock you can possibly reach 4ghz~ with the 212 and would yield a greater return on investment than having the bulk of your upgrade funds tied to a closed loop cooler. I'm not sure on the prices but $150USD(I know you're from AUS) can get you a lot further in in a GPU upgrade than a cooler upgrade. Allocating the funds you would spend on the h100i into a 2nd GPU would benefit you more in the long run.

He can do better then just 4ghz with a 212, thats barely above the stock turbo frequency. Granted i have an exceptionally cool 3570k but if i can reach 4.5ghz 1.3v with just 60c game load, 65c prime95. I'm sure he can do at least 4.2-4.3.
