My last Asus motherboard was a socket 775, which I agree was a long time ago. Since then I have had several items including a laptop, graphics cards and the most recently a tablet. Each time I slap myself for getting bitten and suffer disappointment. I really am not looking to give them any more money, their stuff often seems like great value but I just refuse to do it anymore.
I just went through two utterly worthless socket 1155 Z77 ASRock boards so im not very keen to try another of theirs either. One just decided to loose all of its overclocking options, the other stopped posting. No dual BIOS so I had no choice but to return them. They also had worthless fan control, I made it work but again disappointment. It concerns me greatly that you rank the current Gigabyte offering even lower than a old ASRock board that I imagine was even worse than the disaster zone Z77 board that I had.
Its sounding like I need to explore other brands though, and I welcome any input for that.
Sure, maybe a fan controller combined with this board would make me very happy but thats another £XX? ontop of the budget for something that should work out of the box.
I am in a bad situation where I don't have anything decent to use since my last motherboard failure. Getting desperate
