The UD4H has 16 VRM phases vs. the Z87X-OC 8+2. From what I have read online and seen on youtube an motherboard engineer more phases is better for Haswell but that could be marketing.
The UD4H more features.
UD4H is marked as being made in "Taiwan" and the Z87X-OC is marked as being made in "China".
The UD4H has a higher MSRP $229.99 vs the $199.99 MSRP of the Z87X-OC.
So to me it seems like like you get more mother board for your money with the UD4H and the Z87X-OC seems stripped down and over priced.
I have seen great deals on the UD4H beating the Z87X-OC price by about $50.
Haswell sucks at over clocking so both of these MBs performance will largely be dependent upon the quality of HW CPU.
So... EVerything seems to be in the UD4H favor but in my mind I like the Z87X-OC because it seems like it may have better VRM design even though it has a little more than half the number of phases...
Also like the lack of extras on the Z87X-OC ... seems like less system resources to waste cPu power on...
I don't really care about the Z87X-OC fan headers that don't work right... I'd rather run a separate powered fan controller for fan control and keep the fan load away from the mother board circuitry.Edited by SonDa5 - 6/26/13 at 12:27am
