Pull the trigger?

I am so close to checking out with this monitor bundle in my cart.

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=78913&promoid=1065

Will this work well for an nvidia surround set up? Current single monitor is a 24" Lg with 1 inch bezel (on the sides anyway, will also be needing a link to a good bezel modding thread, but i can probably search for that)

P.S. I also have an Asus 2 GB 670 @ 980 mhz in the cart.

I do not know if there are debezel guides out for this monitor. Also, removing the outer plastic shell of the monitor is generally the easiest part. Where the problems appear when you take out all of the inner electronics of the plastic shell is in the VESA mount. It's a real hassle when the PCB box at the back of the monitor isn't attached to the actual monitor panel. At that point you have to come up with a custom solution...

I also don't think that you will be satisfied, at least I know I wouldn't be, with the quality of a triple monitor set up that has one oddball monitor in it.

Personally I wouldn't spend money on a TN panel that is not 120Hz. I think you'd have a better experience with a single high-refreshrate monitor - Asus VG248QE - until you can afford another two of them. These monitors are easily debezelled and look amazing in triple set up.

I just don't feel that sub-par triple monitor set ups are worth it. Triple monitor setups are really only worth it if you have LARGE amounts of cash to throw around, like $1k for the monitors and another $1k for the GPUs, not to mention the fact you'll have to upgrade your PSU as well most likely. Since I don't have a load of cash to throw around, I would rather have one really great monitor and a secondary one for extra screen space while doing general computing.

So if you can go big and get the best of the best, then do it. If not, it's not worth it.

I've never used an ips panel so i guess i don't know what i'd be missing, though i did just miss a sale dell had on 21" ones.

So you'd recommend instead upgrading to say the asus 144hz panel and, just picking up more as I can afford them? Because i would totally go for that, besides being cheaper (right now) i just put a system together for a friend who had entirely too much money (gtx titan) and that's the panel we used, i was jealous.

Yeah, I'd personally go with the single 144Hz Asus.

I mean just look at the triple setups of them tongue.gif.
