I believe everything is cooled by space. Electromagnetic radiation radiates in all directions, such as "up" and takes energy with it. Otherwise, all of the planets would be fireballs, even Pluto Neptune, because they couldn't rid themselves of energy.

if you want to really mess with someone's head, tell them their computer is fluid cooled. . .

thanks to how physics work and the basic principles of thermodynamics, air behaves like a very thin liquid, aerodynamics and fluid mechanics pretty much go hand in hand, just the aero guys and gals use different coefficients
