Can I install the MCW82 on my 7950?

Today I bought a used MCW82 on the OCN market place for a pretty good deal. I am aware that they have released an MCW82-7900 for the 7900 series of cards, but this is just the standard MCW82. I'm wondering if I can buy a shim and still use it on my 7950. Here is the product page for both the MCW82 and MCW82-7900.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Looks like you'd need to buy the mounting upgrade kit to make it work with your 7950.

"An upgrade kit compatible with all previous version of the MCW82 (MCW80 and MCW60) is also available in the Mounting Hardware section of the online store. "

almost as much as a new block too.

Yea I was going to just go to the hardware store and get a copper shim with the dimensions of 20mm x 20mm x 1.5mm

Just wasn't sure if there was anything else I should worry about. I don't have a crossbracket for my card and am not sure if it is going to mount up fine
