Boot to Desktop was implemented primarily to satisfy the business IT crowd. As a member of that gilded club, I'm thankful for even that small admission of error.

Still, as you mentioned, OP, nobody I know in IT is deploying W8 outside of the lab. That is highly unlikely to change with 8.1, at least in the near term. Everybody is still getting 7. The question remains, though.... why in the holy hell does Server 2012 have metro? Where's the Server 2012.1 update?

Really ? Okay what I said is its like UEFI I hate it. As in UEFI replacing BIOS. Its where everything is going on Motherboards so ill have to get used to it. Wow if only I knew people would take what I said out of context...

I know nothing of coding... I at least know what UEFI is and that it is in no way new.

yeh

Mods fail a lot on all websites though... they are only people you know smile.gif

Nowhere near as bad as the mods on IPT.

If a mod was doing the correct thing they would have moved this thread, deleted it, or locked it!
I thought I posted this in Operating Systems u.der wi.dows not coding sorry.

I know, you already told me... a mod most likely moved it. It no big deal.

I think you are still misunderstanding UEFI... Your bios supports UEFI the user interface for your bios is not what UEFI is.

"UEFI 2.1 defined a "Human Interface Infrastructure" (HII) to manage user input, localized strings, fonts, and forms (in the HTML sense). These enable OEMs or IBVs to design graphical interfaces for pre-boot configuration. UEFI itself does not define a user interface."

UEFI is so much more than the user interface.
