first time building, think my case is bad

Thread Starter
I spent all last night getting my motherboard installed in the case and cpu and everything and as I attempt to mount my PSU I notice this.

Looks slightly bent and dented, will this be a problem for me and delay my build?

is the bottom of your case bent or is it just the photo? straightening that might help:P

ps: what case?

Its bent.
Bend it into shape.

Trying to exchange it for a replacement will probably cost almost as much as the case did(assuming it was purchased online.
But I would call whoever you bought it from and respectfully let them know you dont appreciate receiving a dented case for obvious reasons.

You're right but I actually just got 3 out of 4 of the screws in so I think that's good enough to deal with. I got this from amazon and I also just got a samsung 840 ssd from them today and they didnt include the mounting plate and screws. So, I guess I won't be getting that in there today.

I hate having brand new items arrive in bad condition!!
I would complain to the supplier/courier try and see what response you get out of them. Did you take any photos without the PSU installed you could use as proof?
I am a bit of a saddo like that i take photos of unboxing expensive products so that it could be used as proof if needed. Also to show off biggrin.gif

Use some handy dandy pliers thumb.gif

You can try calling customer service and getting a new case but i think thats a lot more work than you need to...... you may not even finish building/may have to re-transfer everything into the new case which might be a PITA.
