The only real difference between some draft-N and 802.11n certified was the number of spartial streams. Certification required 2 steams.

All the features of 802.11ac are pretty well known and the prosumer has an understand of the differences now.... frequencies, channel width, MIMO, beamforming, spartial streams, 3x3:3, etc.
