Need advice, New GPU 450 dollar range

Thread Starter
I recently had to see my 780 due to personal financial reasons and left with 450 of it to use on a new GPU.
I game on single monitor at 1080, Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3, Metro Last Light, Skyrim, D3, GTA 4, BF3-4, Witcher 2 etc.
I probably will go SLI / CF in the future but right now i'm using my old 570 that was in here before i got my 780.
I am stuck between the 770 4gb model or the 7970. Now I say i lean more towards the 770 because I know the 7970 is best when overclocked and to be honest i'm not good with that at all.
My Escape.

It's easy. GTX 770 2GB is the best option in this price range, or if you REALLY feel like having extra amount of vRAM, get the HD 7970. 4GB on a single GTX 770 won't do wonders due to low bandwidth but for multi-GPU, that's a different story.

This might help give you an idea about scaling single Vs dual cards
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

As you can see even in 1440P and with max AA in all games 4 GB is not faster or better in any way

At this in time point for 1080P only no

If you are going 1440P later down the road or want to keep your video card for more then 2 years then 4 GB makes more sense
