Wow, my computer just slowed waay down

Thread Starter
Recently I formatted my computer after setting up 2 150g raptors in RAID 0 and for a while it was lightning fast, but it seems like in the last couple days loading programs on boot takes FOREVER. It seems as though my computer doesn't run smoothly until 3min after Windows starts. All during this time I can hear noises coming from my hard drives. My start up programs are fine, I don't think I have any malware, and as far as I know, it isn't a hardware issue. What's the deal?

Try cleaning up your startup programs, go to the "run" and type "msconfig" then, go to the startup tab, and uncheck the ones that do not need to be there.

It sounds like it could possibly be a driver conflict or just bad driver. I used to get the same thing happening to me untill i updated the JMicron driver. http://support.asus.com/download/dow...us&model=P5B-E

I tried that, but it is still slow. I use the intel RAID drivers anyways, but I don't see those on there. Once things have been loaded, it is as fast as can be, but it seems as though those seeks times suck. I did a 128kb stripe if that matters. It seems odd that a raptor would have bad seek times since they are supposed to be crazy awesome in that category.
