600GB of Unacollated Space&can't create new partition

Hi
I'll start at the begining. My father has a HP ProBook 4730s laptop with Radeon graphics. So I took a look at it and it seemed like the intergrated Intel graphics was working instead of the Radeon graphics card cause I couldn't find any Radeon graphics control panel or whatever its called.
So I went into BIOS to look around and I found a setting saying Switchable graphics or something like that, the box beside it was ticked so i unticked it, saved and exited from BIOS. It booted into Windows but the resolution went really low so I went back to BIOS to tick back the box and then when I wanted to save&exit it said "After confirming you might need to reinstall your Operating System"I thought this is BS so I went on and saved&exited out of BIOS and the next thing is... a BSOD. Windows wouldn't boot. So I grabbed my Windows 7 Professional DVD and popped it in the CD-ROM and set the boot order to CD-ROM first and still wouldn't load. So the next thing I tried was making a bootable USB, and it worked. It booted into the Installation process. When i came to the Partition Part I just tried installing the new Windows on the same partation as it was before, I hit "Next" and it wouldn't work (probably because it was a Dynamic disk). So I looked up on the internet how to change from Dynamic to Basic. I did it through command promt so now I have 79.8GB of Unallocated space. BUT I can't for some reason create a new Partition using the Unallocated space. The "New"partition option is greyed out. So again, I looked up on the internet how to create a new partition, here's what I was told to do:
1. Open cmd
2. Type diskpart
3. list disk
4. select disk 0
5. create partition primary size=n (n as in size in MB- in my case 75000)
For some reason I get the following error:
Virtual Disk Service error:
The operation is not supported by the object.
The specified comand or parameters are not supported on this system.

I don't want to format his D: partition cause he has a lot of stuff and he said he doesn't want to loose it.
Now what? PLEASE HELP IM WRECKED MENTALLY RIGHT NOW!!!

EDIT:
I deleted every single partition including system reserved and still can't create a new partition during installation.

At this stage, better boot off a parted magic cd and perform a data backup and once everything is safe, wipe all the partitions and start fresh with a clean install or hp recovery, the switchable graphics means one gpu is uded for 2d and the other one kicks in when on 3d mode, you need to install drivers for the one that used 2d, then install the drivers for the one that uses 3d.

I downloaded the program and burned it on a CD but the laptop won't boot from the CD as in the case of Windows 7. So I followed the steps to make a bootable USB and it says "Bootmgr is missing". I followed the steps correctly. If I could somehow backup D: partition then I could format the HDD and the installation process should work I think. I'm typing this on a friend's laptop I borrowed and I need to return it in an hour or so so I need help urgently.
