AMD Firepro Modded Drivers (13.152.4-WHQL) for Radeon Cards 11/22/2013 - Page 11

Hi there!

I have Windows 7 Ultimate and I cannot install this drivers. My card: Radeon HD 6670.

I even tried to switch off Windows Signing Drivers and it doesn't worked for me.

1.First I checked on clean Windows if newest drivers work and they did
2.Then I uninstalled them and restarted my windows
3.Windows was showing only VGA simple driver from Windows
4.Then I tried to manually install the drivers "Update driver" and "I have disk" and on some folder /Packages/Drivers/amdkmpfd/W764A and similar subfolders and then windows showed me list of compatible hardware and I also tried almost all of the folders and subfolders and windows showed me compatibile hardware like "AMD Radeon HD Modded 6670" and I clicked next but Windows showed error like "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it" AMD Radeon HD Modded 6670 "The system cannot find the file specified" and "If you know the manufacturer of your device you can visit this website and check the support section for driver software"

I tried even to run setup with Admin privileges but drivers won't install. All programs installs but not the driver.

What should I do?

Is there any newer driver modded for using Firepro in for example Solidworks? Please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Having the same issue with my r9 290. Everything installs fine except for the video driver!

Would be great to get this working to see if it increases SolidWorks performance. I've installed RealHack but for some reason it is not rendering properly in SW2014. The Floor reflections show up, but nothing else. Works fine in 2013. Odd.

Getting SolidWorks Realview to work is not difficult. With your regular Radeon drivers, open up RealView and go here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2014\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Gl2Shaders\R420\

Now make a key that matches the name of your card, and copy the same information from another one of the pro cards.

For my r9 290 it was this:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2014\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Gl2Shaders\R420\AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

If you have tried RealView and only the floor lights up, go into the Gl2Shaders folder in regedit and delete every key you see that mentions your Radeon card that you find, except for in the R420 folder. All of those keys were added by RealHack and are safe to delete. Now with the one remaining key, go in and change the decimal value to zero to match the other pro cards. Next time you open up SolidWorks it should be working.

If you modified all of the .msi packages and everything will install except for drivers, you need to also modify the actual driver .inf file too. Then it will install but you will probably need to turn of driver signing and run test mode.

However, do not waste your time. I have installed the FireGL package and ran the built in SolidWorks 2014 Performance test on both drivers. There is no change. It still installs the Radeon CCC and there are no advanced FireGL options.

The registry edit in SolidWorks turns on all of the nice visual goodies, and SolidWorks FLIES with this r9 290. I switched from a GTX670 which is only about 20% slower in gaming benchmarks, but SolidWorks performance tests go from 30 seconds to 10 seconds. That's amazing. It shows when using the program too. This card benches between the results of other rigs with W8000 cards. They cost $2500. I got my r9 290 used on ebay for $180.

I have modded maybe 10 computers with HD4750.

But also recently Alienware Laptop with

ATI 5700 to V5800
ATI 5850 to V7800

both of these laptops show 100 frames per second in Specview tests versus something like 25 frames

The guide above shows everything you need.

I was using the 8.723 drivers.

If you are modding a laptop I noticed power management corrupts the video car mod forever be careful to turn off all that on the video card.

Good luck! I think its worth it.

Has anyone got any of the newest cards to Mod? Thanks.

I am also interested in these drivers, as I want to do some testing on my radeon 7870. If anyone still have them and can upload them somewhere would be great! Thanks in advance
