You need the copper shim for you gpu block. Chances are that the gpu block is not getting a good contact with the gpu chip.

What size shim are you using?

I am not using a shim at all. Because I have a universal gpu block. So I figured I didn't need one.

woah man, you do need a shim. The AMD 7900 series cores are recessed about a mm and need a shim to fill that gap. You aren't getting contgact with your block. I would immediately take that apart and out of your computer until you can get one.

Should be arriving tomorrow. Actually this is good for me because I was able to take my case apart and paint the entire inside black. More fitting with my red black case combo
