So I removed the extra copper heatsinks for now until I find out where the RAM chips are on this video card. Anyhow, I re-mounted the Kuhler and copper shim and it boots, but idles at 50C now and shuts down when I even mildly stress the GPU.
I have the Kuhler plugged into SYS_FAN2 and the Noctua 90mm fan plugged into SYS_FAN1. I went into the BIOS to check my pump speed and it says it's at about 1480 RPM (see screenshot). Is this correct for the Kuhler 620 pump? Also, I can;t seem to find a manual setting in the BIOS for SYS_FAN2 - do I need to change anything? If the pump speed is too low then I could swap the pump and the Noctua fan around so I can adjust the pump speed in the BIOS if 1480 RPM is too slow. Interestingly though, when I set the Slope PWM to 2.50 (max setting) on the Noctua it didn't adjust the fan speed. I would have thought by changing the setting to Manual I would have avoided all PWM?
