So i have two printers i want to get working from my computer.

1 is a HP photosmart 7660.
2 is a HP Laserjet 1320.

Adressing the photosmart first. it's connected directly to the computer on USB
I've already installed alternative drivers on my computer for the 7660, since the original drivers have been discontinued for some time.
I have located and added the printer on my system, and i can send requests to print, However. When the printer starts up, it will kalibrate and then the display says it's gonna print a kalibration page, which it does not do, and the little red led, lights up and keeps blinking. leaving me with a completely silent printer frown.gif

The second printer is the Laserjet.
It's connected from it's USB port with a USB cable to a Ethernet adapter. They look like this:

That way it should be connected to the network. However i do not know how to acces this. since there are 2 routers between me and that printer. The printer is going to the "main" router and then it goes to the router in my room that distributes connections further.
I don't even see this printer in the configuration pannel and i cannot find out it's ping as i have no acces to the main router.
